How are MD Preferred Service Providers selected?
MD Preferred identifies professionals in each of its disciplines who have demonstrated an interest in serving the special needs of physicians and medical professionals. Every MD Preferred Service Team Member has a sophisticated internet presence, a long-term presence in their community, a reputation for service excellence, the highest ethical standards and a staff of highly trained professionals with an intimate understanding of the medical profession.

Does it cost anything to use the online Resource Network?
There is never a charge for a doctor to use an MD Preferred directory. In addition, MD Preferred does not require visitors to register at any of our sites. As such, physicians may utilize the system in complete confidence.

If access is free, does that mean there are no fees charged by the MD Preferred Service Providers?
The attorneys, insurance agents, financial advisors, and real estate professionals, who populate the networks, charge competitive fees for their services.

Why would a doctor use the MD Preferred Network?
Practicing physicians who are relocating to accept a new practice opportunity or graduating physicians completing their medical training will find the resource network particularly useful. A recent survey found that a vast majority of physicians in the United States are currently working in excess of 60 hours per week. They regularly subordinate their personal interests to the interests of their patients. By screening and publishing directories of qualified professionals, MD Preferred seeks to assist doctors with the relocation process and help medical practices and hospitals make their new staff members welcome.

How can I tell if a local service provider is an MD Preferred Member?
You should first look for the MD Preferred Service Medallion. It is a sign of a professional committed to serving the medical community. Secondly, all MD Preferred members are listed in one of our directories depending on their area of expertise.

What if I can't find an MD Preferred Service Provider in my community?
Doctors and medical professionals can call our Physician Services Department at 800-260-8366 ext. 702 and a service consultant will provide access to a MD Preferred Provider near you.

Can non-medical professionals use the Networks?
Yes.

Does MD Preferred have a mailing list?

  • MD Preferred publishes the monthly E-newsletter, The Advisor. It features informative articles written by network members, addressing specific concerns of doctors on the move. The newsletter is distributed on the first Tuesday of every month. Interested parties can join the mailing list by clicking here.
  • MD Preferred also publishes a medical blog, www.roundsonline.org. The blog provides a lively forum for ideas and editorial comment on the medical news of the day.
